何 謂 涅 槃





將軍問禪師：天堂地獄在那裡？禪師一言不語



就走了，將軍跟了過去，直問天堂地獄到底在



哪裡？禪師瞪了他一眼，愛理不理地轉身背對



著他。





將軍耐不住性子，怒目瞠視地拔起身上的配刀



，就要向禪師劈去，禪師轉過身來，笑著對他



說，你現在就在地獄裡。





頓時，將軍恍然大悟，收起刀，雙手合十，誠



心向禪師認錯，禪師說你現在就在天堂。





地獄天堂只在一念之間，煩惱和智慧也是在一



念之間，涅槃是一種心境，不是某個地方，沒



有座標也沒有具體形象。





涅槃就像一面鏡子，當你走近時顯示出你的相



貌，當你離走時，你的相貌也跟著消失，一切



如來如去，不沾染任何塵埃。





如同六祖惠能大師所說：「菩提本無樹，明鏡



亦非台，本來無一物，何處惹塵埃?」因此涅槃



不是在離地球幾萬公尺的地方，不是在《阿彌



陀經》的「極樂世界」裡，而是在你自己的心
